We read with interest the recent article by Donofrio et al. that
included a focus on neurohospitalist models of care and reimbursement.1
These are critically important issues in both the academic and community
setting. There is a reference to an "unpublished" survey that we performed
with the AAN in 2011. Notably, the results of this
survey were indeed published in this journal in 2012 and we invite readers to
review the reference for full details.2 The Neurohospitalist Society
(www.neurohospitalistsociety.org) plans to survey inpatient neurologists
in 2016 to update the characteristics of our field which is rapidly
expanding and transforming the nature of inpatient practice. Input would
be welcome regarding questions for the survey and can be submitted via our
Facebook account (https://www.facebook.com/Neurohospitalist-Society-162629307154967/) or by email to info@neurohospitalistsociety.org.
